Almost 6 months the Centre for assistance rendering of the Humanitarian Office "Our Assistance for You" of Rinat Akhmetov Foundation works in Khartsyzsk. More than 46 000 grocery baskets have been already given to welfare beneficiaries and vulnerable groups of Khartsyzsk. About 5 000 of child's baskets have been given to young residents of the town.
People with disabilities, orphaned children, single mothers, pregnant women, pensioners, internally displaced persons, participants of the Great Patriotic War, people which houses were destroyed are those main categories of citizens which are covered by the Center. Daily more than 500 residents of Khartsyzsk receive the baskets consisting of prime necessities. It should be noted that the help is given not one time but with a certain frequency. This allows the people who got in difficult life circumstances to feel themselves more protected in so hard time for the whole Donbass.
The staff of the Office “Our Assistance for You” pays special attention to children, kids of three and downward for which special humanitarian baskets are provided.
“I bring up the child by myself. Today everything is very expensive and no benefits are paid. The assistance is very good - there are diapers, baby food and many other products necessary for kids. I would particularly like to thank Rinat Akhmetov, KHARTSYZSK PIPE PLANT and all staff of the Center which help us and think of us”, Alina Sinelskaya, a young mother, said.
More than 20 volunteers work in the Centre – mainly all these people are workers of Khartsyzsk Pipe Plant. They decided to participate in this important mission without hesitation and change their usual workplace for people’s sake. The main task of volunteers is to give as many food packages as possible in order every person could have this package. Volunteers have time not only to deal with paper work and give food packages - they also lighten visitors by their smiles and encouraging words.
“I have been working here since the first day of the Office opening – almost six months. At first it was difficult but day after day we gained experience and began to work faster and more efficiently. I decided to become a volunteer because many people, especially financially disadvantaged citizens, need the assistance. It's pleasant when people thank us for our work. We have a good, well-coordinated team, we are very good friends. It is very comfortable to work in such atmosphere”, Svetlana Kubrakova, the Volunteer of the Centre for humanitarian assistance rendering in Khartsyzsk, said.
All volunteers are very motivated people. They are convinced that it will be easier for people to get over such difficulties thanks to mutual aid and support.
“I decided to become a volunteer because we need to help people in such difficult situation. There are a lot of pensioners who do not receive pensions. And our help is very important for them. Volunteers of our Center work with great enthusiasm. If it is needed, they come even on holidays and on weekends. All of us want to help people in need. It's nice that residents of Khartsyzsk have the greatest respect and gratitude to our work “, Alexey Levchenko, the coordinator of the Centre for humanitarian assistance rendering in Khartsyzsk, said.
The Centre for assistance rendering of the Humanitarian Office "Our Assistance for You" of Rinat Akhmetov Foundation continues its work in Khartsyzsk and will continue to provide all possible assistance to those people who really need it.
