Jack MacLachlan, who was formerly holding the office of the director of Steel and rolled products division (SRPD) of Metinvest, has been appointed Chief Technical Officer of METINVEST HOLDING, LLC. Mr MacLachlan will be responsible for the new corporate strategy of technological development. Alexander Pogozhev has been appointed the director of Steel and rolled products division. Mr Pogozhev will be responsible for the efficient management of the Division along with strategic, tactical and short term business tasks connected with the development of steelmaking enterprises of Metinvest Group and Sales Service of the SRPD.
Alexander Pogozhev has an extensive professional experience at large enterprises of steel industry. Since 1991 he had been working at JSC Severstal, where he held executive positions, including the position of the Chief Operations Officer. Since 2008 Mr. Pogozhev was working as the Chief Operations Director of Severstal International, USA.
Mr. Pogozhev has two higher education degrees: the one in technology of machine building and the other in financial management from the State Academy of Management (Moscow, Russia). He also has an MBA degree from the Business School of Northumbria University, United Kingdom.
Jack MacLachlan has a 30-years track record in steel industry. He has been working with Metinvest since 2007.

Steel and rolled products division unites steelmaking, rolling and pipe-making enterprises of Metinvest, manufacturing the wide range of semi and finished steel products, including concast slabs and square billet, hot rolled plate and coil, long products and rebar, grinding balls and LD pipes. In 2009 the enterprises of the division produced 7 mln tonnes of crude steel and 9.2 mln tonnes of steel products.
