On April 20, thousands of volunteers of all companies of SCM Group joined the national project "Let’s make Ukraine clean!" Staff of KHARTSYZSK PIPE headed by acting Director General Pavel Uzbek did not keep out of the event. More than 250 employees of KHARTSYZSK PIPE took part in the voluntary Saturday work. In two hours 60 tons of garbage and last year's leaves were removed from a territory of 4.5 hectares.
Park near the Palace of Culture of KHARTSYZSK PIPE, the area adjacent to the sports complex and preventative clinic, shore of the pond South - everywhere the work was going swimmingly. Plant workers were divided into 18 commands (many of them came with their families, together with children). In two hours the plot of land designated for cleaning has considerably been changed. In the voluntary Saturday work the mayor Valery Dubovoy also took part. Chief executive officer and Mayor of Khartsyzsk actively fought with garbage and dead wood by means of saws and axes at the site designated for cleaning by administration of KHARTSYZSK PIPE.
"Such voluntary Saturday works have become a tradition for KHARTSYZSK PIPE PLANT. Employees of KHARTSYZSK PIPE together with employees of enterprises of Metinvest Group in other cities want to show by their own example that solicitous attitude to the environment should concern everyone. So today, we have joined forces to make our city more comfortable, cleaner and more beautiful", Acting Director General of PJSC " KHARTSYZSK PIPE " Pavel Uzbek said.
"I was invited to the voluntary Saturday work, which was organized by KHARTSYZSK PIPE, and I took part in it with great pleasure. A lot of citizens responded to the call for cleaning: in the yards, and near offices - anywhere where it is necessary to clean the territory. Thanks a lot to all for your participation", the mayor of Khartsyzsk said.
Voluntary Saturday works held in Khartsyzsk showed that thousands of people support initiatives to restore order and cleanliness in the town. Every year more and more citizens become united by a common goal - to make Khartsyzsk the cleanest town in Ukraine.

PUBLIC JOINT STOCK COMPANY “KHARTSYZSK PIPE PLANT” is the largest in Ukraine and one of the largest enterprises in Europe for pipes manufacture. The company manufactures longitudinal SAW large diameter pipes (508-1422 mm in diameter) with external anticorrosion and internal anticorrosion or flow coating for main oil and gas pipelines. Plant’s facilities permit to manufacture more than 1,3 mln. tons of pipes per year, including 700 thous. tons of coated pipes.
The integrated Management System ensuring stable high quality of the products to the customers is functioning at “Khartsyzsk PIPE PLANT”. ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, API Spec Q1, DSTU ISO 9001, GOST R ISO 9001, STO Gazprom 9001 create its foundation. Products of the plant are certified according to API, EN standards and in the national system UkrSEPRO. Welding processes are certified as per ISO 3834-2.
More than 630 thous. tons of large diameter pipes were produced at “KHARTSYZSK PIPE PLANT” in 2011 that became the record over the last 20 years.
In September, 2010 “KHARTSYZSK PIPE PLANT” became the first company among Ukrainian enterprises of Metinvest Group which started to implement “Lean enterprise” program and obtained significant results.
The top-priority goals in the social policy of “KHARTSYZSK PIPE PLANT” as a mainstay of the entire town are implementation of social programs and activities in education, health service and improvement of town infrastructure. In 2011 the volume of social investment of the company was more than 1.3 mln UAH.
“Khartsyzsk PIPE PLANT” is a part of Metallurgical Division of Metinvest Group.
