The results of the competition of environmental projects in Khartsyzsk organized by Metinvest in the framework of the corporate social program "Healthy Environment is Everyone's Business" are summed up. The program focuses on environmental education in the field of resource, energy, climate change and the involvement of local people in solving the problems of ecology, education lean attitudes toward the environment.
23 works of students of secondary schools, institutions of additional and special education were presented for the competition. The contest participants have acquired the skills of project work, learned to formulate and solve social issues, have gained experience of working with teachers, peers, environmental organizations, authorities and the public.
The five winning projects will receive financial support of Metinvest for implementation environmental initiatives during the school year — 2013. On Tuesday, January 8, in the building of the city executive committee acting General Director of Khartsyzsk pipe plant Pavel Uzbek and Khartsyzsk Mayor Valery Dubovoy awarded diplomas and cash certificates to the winners.
