The major modernization program is continued at the Pipe Electric Welding Shop No 2 of «KHARTSYZSK PIPE PLANT» of Metinvest. Thus, this week equipment modernization of small hydro stations of the expander No 3, intended for maintaining operation of transfer cars, out-of-roundness correction device and supports, was finished at PEWSh-2. Investment to this project amounted to more than one and a half million UAH.
A complex hydro station is a part of new equipment which includes hydraulic tank application, hydraulic equipment, pumps, connection tubes, cooler, electric equipment, supply cables. The hydro station operates automatically and installed temperature and oil level sensors permit to carry out permanent monitoring of these data.
During the process of technology equipment stock renewal, labor saving and reduction of manufacturing process time take place as well as optimization and improvement of working conditions, losses, but the main thing is that all it leads to the pipe’s cost reduction due to application of advanced technologies, materials, all types of resources saving.
“With increase of the production volumes at «KHARTSYZSK PIPE» the question concerning reliability of the technical state and operation of each unit of the production equipment is under the special control, that’s why the constant work is performed in this direction – development and implementation of new program-projects that will ensure uninterrupted operation of all production cycles”, Aleksandr Levchenko, Engineering Director of PJSC «KHARTSYZSK PIPE PLANT», has said.
